Class A Uniform (Field Uniform)
The Class A uniform is worn to den meetings, pack meetings, and formal Scouting events:
Kindergarten (Lions)
- Navy Lion t-shirt with shorts or pants (this is a one-year uniform)
Grades 1–5
- Official blue Cub Scout shirt with blue pants or shorts
- Cub Scout belt and buckle
- Cub Scout cap (rank-specific color)
- Neckerchief and slide (if provided by den)
Class B Uniform (Activity Uniform)
Pack 519 provides a Pack t-shirt (“Class B”) to all new members. This is worn for outdoor activities, campouts, casual events, and service projects:
- Pack 519 t-shirt or any Scouting-related t-shirt
- Comfortable pants or shorts appropriate for the activity
- Closed-toe shoes (required for all outdoor activities)
Patch Placement
Patches should be placed on the uniform according to BSA guidelines:
- Left sleeve: Council patch (Coastal Carolina Council), unit numerals (519)
- Right sleeve: American flag, patrol patch (Webelos/AOL), den number
- Left pocket: Rank badge (current rank)
- Right pocket: Temporary patches, event patches

Official BSA uniforms are available at the Coastal Carolina Council Scout Shop in North Charleston or online at scoutshop.org. Gently used uniforms are often available within the Pack — ask your den leader!
